Are you in pursuit?
Do you have a documented disability, are between the ages of 14-21, and want to start pursuing your career goals? In this chapter filled with many unknowns, the Pursuit Lab is on a mission to bring job/college access through self advocacy by discovering strengths, workplace readiness training, and work-based learning experiences. In partnership with Washington’s Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), Pursuit is able to offer these services at no cost to students that meet the requirements. Our partnership allows us to work with students statewide from the ages of 14-21 who are enrolled in any educational program. Due to the number of hours allowed for each student every year, there is no limit on the amount of times a student can take our class, as long as they have an updated Pre-ETS form and meet our listed requirements below.
Program requirements:
- Must be 14-21 years old to receive these services.
- Must have (had) a documented disability (IEP, 504, medical diagnosed or signed up for accommodation with SSD (services for students with disabilities)
- Must be an enrolled student in the K-12 system or in a transitional program or an enrolled student at a post-secondary institution.
**students must be able to manage themselves independently in group settings to attend in person classes**
