Transportation options for students
Bus pass (Community Transit)
To ride Community Transit buses, you now need an ORCA card. You can add ORCA bus pass benefits to your EdPass (college I.D.)
Costs:
$10 one-time fee for the new EdPass/ORCA card
$26 quarterly bus pass
Get it in three easy steps:
- Register for “ORCC,” the bus pass class, along with your other classes
- Pay for your classes (and bus pass) online or at the Cashier’s Office in Lynnwood Hall
- Get the new EdPass plus ORCA bus benefits in Alderwood Hall (ALD) room 103. Bring your old EdPass, if you’ve got one. Your balance will be transferred to your new card.
Get your card early to avoid long lines. Questions? Call 425.640.1143. Go to www.edmonds.edu/edpass
Parking
Parking is free, but limited, at Edmonds College. Allow time to find a parking space and consider using the less popular off-campus college parking lots. Students may park in any lot except those marked for staff (lots A, K, and P) or visitors and carpool spaces (in lot L). Tickets are issued for parking and vehicle violations. Parking permits are required to park on campus at all times. For housing residents to park their vehicle overnight they will need to obtain an additional permit from the Housing office in Rainier Place. To see the parking lots go to the Parking Map.
Carpool Permits
Students and employees traveling to the college in a vehicle with two or more people are eligible to sign up for a carpool-parking permit. The permits may be obtained each quarter from the Security Office on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are limited.
Transportation Coordinator
The college offers the services of a transportation coordinator to students and employees to answer general questions about bus routes, rideshare matching services, carpool information, or other commute services. Call 425.640.1586.
Bike Lockers
There's a safe place for your bike on campus. Bike lockers are available — per quarter, first-come, first served. To get a locker, go to Security in Woodway Hall 214 to have your EdPass encoded with door lock access.
