CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst (CSFA) mark

The CFSA qualifies students for a one year experience waiver towards the CISSP, Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Edmonds College hosts a CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst (CSFA) certification May 8-10. Ten digital forensics students will have three days to complete a forensic analysis and submit a comprehensive forensic analysis report in order to complete the test.

The CSFA certification test resembles a real world scenario that a forensic analyst would encounter. Students with a specific time frame to complete their analysis, and may request additional information relevant to the case.

Test candidates will be communicating with an attorney for the three-day testing period, and may have to provide the verbiage for affidavits, declarations, subpoenas, search warrants and motions, depending on their test scenario.

The CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst (CSFA) certification offered through Edmonds College for digital forensics students is recognized by the (ISC) — the organization that developed and sponsors the CISSP certification. The CSFA is on the (ISC) approved list for a one year experience waiver towards the CISSP, Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
