In February, a group of 30 students with the YMCA of Greater Seattle Black Achievers Program, which offers high school youth opportunities to explore career options and prepare for college, led by Shomari Jones, toured the Materials Science Lab at Edmonds College.
The students participated in a hands-on workshop with the college's Materials Science Technology program and Materials Technology Education team. The workshop was funded by the National Resource Center for Materials Technology Education, supported by a National Science Foundation grant.
