Edmonds CC named fit-friendly company by the American Heart Association

Edmonds College has been named a fit-friendly company by the American Heart Association
and noted for its excellent employee wellness program. The college was listed with
with other fit-friendly companies in "A Fitting Solution" special section of Fortune
magazine. The college received the award because of the high level of physical activity
across campus and due to its culture of health.
Wellness activities at the college include: free facilities for indoor and outdoor walking and other activities, classes for many kinds of physical activity, online newsletters and educational classes, health and wellness website, healthy options in cafeteria and vending machines, president appointed and supported wellness program with weekly classes, CPR/First Aid/AED training, health risk assessment available, and biometric screenings.
