Quist named director of the Small Business Development Center

Peter Quist of Lake Forest Park is the Director and Business Development Advisor for the Edmonds College Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The center offers free, confidential one-on-one business advising and access to research and resources to local business owners.
“I’ll work with businesses to help them better understand and control their business processes,” Quist said. “The key goals in small business are: profitability, sustainability, and efficiency.”
As director, Quist is available to assist business owners with review of their business practices including day-to-day operations, hiring and firing, marketing, competing, planning, strategizing, and the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements.
Quist was most recently the labor relations manager for Parsons Corporation on large public works projects in Seattle and Las Vegas and has also worked as a business development manager and business advisor. He has more than 30 years of small business experience in start-up, management, ownership, dispute resolution, and labor relations capacities.
The Edmonds College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a cooperative program whose partners include Washington State University and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
