Discover Project Management at an open house Dec. 7

Discover Project Management at Edmonds College. Attend an open house 6-8 p.m., Tues., Dec. 7 in Snohomish Hall 304 at the college, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. At the open house, Project Management Institute (PMI) professionals will present project management methods, answer questions, and discuss career choices. Learn more at the open house, which is free, open to the public and includes refreshments.

Meet PMI members, students, and Edmonds College instructors. This open house will also count towards two professional development units for current PMI members.

Keynote speakers at the event represent organizations including the Puget Sound Project Management Institute, University of Washington, Microsoft, the Construction Management Association of America, McKinstry, and the Washington State Department of Transportation

Edmonds College instructors will answer questions about the college’s Project Management certificate. The certificate teaches in demand skills for effective project managers including planning and managing projects, creating schedules, identifying tasks, allocating resources, and building and working with teams.

The college’s certificate is an industry-recognized credential. In addition, Edmonds CC is a Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute, the leading membership association for the profession. Edmonds CC students may take classes to prepare for the association’s PMP® or CAPM® exams. The certifications recognize career development and commitment to professional project management.

Start Edmonds College’s Project Management certificate this winter. Enroll in Project Management I, MGMT 270; Human Relations, MGMT 100; Principles of Management, MGMT 214; or CAPM Exam Preparation, MGMT 255. Registration starts Nov. 15. Classes start Jan. 3.
