No Community Transit Service on Holidays

12/14/2010

In addition, Community Transit service will be reduced Friday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 31, as many businesses will observe the holidays on those days. On those days:

  • Local buses will run on Saturday schedules. Buses start later and end earlier than during usual weekday service, and routes and frequencies are reduced.
  • Swift will be on Saturday schedule, running every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to midnight.
  • Downtown Seattle service will be provided only by Route 414, with nine trips added to the holiday schedule. Extra trips are detailed at www.communitytransit.org.
  • University of Washington service will be provided only by Route 855 from Lynnwood Transit Center, which will run its regular weekday service.

Sound Transit buses continue to operate on Sundays and will run Sunday schedules on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Sound Transit will operate regular weekday service on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.

The RideStore at Lynnwood Transit Center will be closed on Dec. 24, but will be open on Dec. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
