Campus alert: June 2 update, student back in class

Today, Vice President of Student Services George Smith met with the student who was stabbed and robbed of about $20 cash Tuesday morning, May 31, in the first floor men’s restroom of Alderwood Hall. This was a rare crime on the campus.

The student said he fought back during the robbery and was then pepper sprayed. He has lacerations on his face, hands, and leg.

He is back in class and plans to continue his studies at the college.

The suspect in the robbery is described as a thin black male, in his early 20s with a shaved head or very short haircut. He was wearing a black shirt and a blue and white plaid jacket. Anyone with information should call the Lynnwood Police Department at 425.670.5600.

Security and Safety Update

Security daytime and swing shifts will continue with increased building patrols this week. In the event of an emergency on campus, call 911. To reach security, call 425.754.0154 or x1501 on campus.

Counseling and Resource Center Update

The Counseling and Resource Center in Mountlake Terrace Hall 145 provides brief counseling on a wide variety of topics and also has a comprehensive list of resources and referrals to the greater community.
