Child care available this winter: Center for Families now enrolling

The Center for Families at Edmonds College has room for children ages 3 months to 5 years. Apply now for winter quarter. The center serves students enrolled at Edmonds College and Central Washington University-Lynnwood and community families when room. Childcare with Head Start preschool enhancement is available for children ages 3 months to 5 years.

The Center for Families childcare is accredited by the NAEYC – the mark of quality for early childhood education programs.

Taking winter classes Jan. 3-March 19? Childcare is available 7:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Mon.-Thurs. and 7:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m., Fridays.

Monthly full-time rates for child care for children ages 3-5 are $715 for students, $1,025 for staff, and $1,090 for community members. Part-time options are available.

Edmonds College’s Center for Families Childcare and Head Start programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) — the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals overseeing quality in early childhood education.

Teachers at the center support families to create opportunities for children to be eager learners, creative thinkers, confident problem solvers and compassionate people. Childcare at the Center for Families is licensed by the Washington State Division of Early Learning.

Edmonds College’s Center for Families is home to the college’s child care, cooperative preschool, site for Head Start preschool, and parent education classes, as well as a place where students in Early Childhood Education and Family Support Studies programs learn the best practices for working with children and families. Access to high quality child care on campus allows students to get the education they need to provide for their families.

Register now for winter classes at Edmonds College. Classes start Jan. 3 and run through March 19.
