Students in the Edmonds College Digital Music Program will be showcased in an innovative multimedia performance called Musaic. It will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the college’s Black Box Theatre, 20000 68th Ave. W.
Musaic is open to the public. A $7 suggested donation supports Edmonds CC music scholarships.
This year's concert performance features student musicians interacting with computers, including live vocal sampling, piano processing, guitar looping, FX sampling, and video game simulations of musical instruments.
The featured student musicians are Simon Aspinall, Dylan Banks, Dustin Elrod, Connor Favero, Justin Jennings, Tom Prince, Josh Richins, and Matt Sledgianowski.
“Our Digital Music program prides itself as being one of the most exciting, advanced, and forward-thinking community college programs in the country,” said Edmonds College music instructor Nick Sibicky. “Musaic is the perfect opportunity to experience this overflowing creativity and ingenuity.”
