Generous STEM grant

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded Edmonds College a $500,000 grant for the Innovation in Two-Year College in STEM Education (ITYC) program. This grant will help the college to reach more underserved students in their pursuit of STEM-focused credentials.

Currents F24 Anna

From Music To Medicine

Anna Prykhodko, a graduate of the Edmonds College Music program, decided to return to Edmonds to complete her STEM prerequisites for medical school. She is now at an Ivy League school, the University of Pennsylvania. Prykhodko loved the support she received at Edmonds, which factored largely into her decision to return to Edmonds to further her education.

Edmonds Hosts TEDx Event

On Oct. 10, the college hosted the first-ever TEDx event on campus with the theme of “Rethinking Resilience.” Speakers from diverse professional and personal backgrounds discussed shifting focus from individual achievement to collective action.

The program connects international students with families who provide them with a comfortable and supportive home environment while they attend college. It is a great opportunity for cultural exchange and to build lifelong friendships with international students.
