Outside of his studies, he spends his time teaching Korean to other students and enjoys hanging out with friends and traveling.

After Edmonds CC, Jung plans to transfer to a four-year university next fall and get his Bachelor’s degree and ultimately a Ph.D. in mathematics. He hopes to become a university professor teaching math.

“I’m thankful for being selected to be part of the team,” said Jung. “It means a great deal to represent Edmonds Community College.”

Jung said that getting involved in student government and activities gave him a sense of belonging and has contributed to his academic success.
