Public hearing on Washington Administrative Code regarding traffic rules
07/28/20Edmonds College will hold a public hearing at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, on proposed changes to an existing Washington Administrative Code (WAC) regarding traffic rules.
The proposed changes to 132Y-100 of the Edmonds College WAC include: Reducing redundancy in WACs previously entered twice; meeting legal changes around holding transcripts, registration and other college access; updating and clarifying rules regarding parking permits, and the use of bicycle and foot propelled vehicles on pedestrian walkways; and ensuring the college has the latitude to update policy and procedure as needed while maintaining good WAC oversight.
The public is invited to make comments on the proposed policy changes at the Aug. 6 hearing, which will be held remotely. If preferred, written comments can be submitted to jade.jeter-hill@edcc.edu. Written comments should be no more than 300 words in length and must be received no later than 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6. Please include the words “Public Comment” in the subject line of the email. Pending action by the college’s Board of Trustees on Sept. 10, the new policy would be effective no earlier than Oct. 11.
