Dessert Dash: “Super Bowl” for Baking & Pastry Arts students

For Baking & Pastry Arts students, the Dessert Dash during the Edmonds College Foundation’s INSPIRE Gala is their version of the Super Bowl. It is the baker's chance to shine on a big stage with a very discerning (and hungry!) audience. 

Our students spend eight weeks planning and baking decadent cakes for the showcase. During the event, gala party goers work with others at their dinner tables to pool bids and formulate strategies to secure their favorite cakes. It caps a wonderful dinner with fun chaos for a good cause. All funds raised during the Dessert Dash go to the Foundation’s Student Success Fund.  

The Dessert Dash is just one way you will gain hand-on experience. You’ll learn foundational baking and management skills in the student-run Pastry Corner, located in the College Cafe, and produce delectable desserts for other campus-wide functions.
