Why the college changed its name
Did you know that we offer four-year degrees? At Edmonds College, students can earn a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. This led to a name change in 2020.
In April 2020, our Board of Trustees approved updating our name from "Edmonds Community College” to “Edmonds College” to reflect everything we have to offer. In 2019, we launched our first Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Child, Youth and Family Studies.
We are innovating and adapting to community needs by adding degrees and programs to our repertoire that reflect the highest-growing job rate in the area for lower costs than other surrounding four-year colleges.
We recently added a brand new BS in Computer Science program that just launched this Fall that joins our BAS program offerings: Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Technology (AMMET); Child, Youth and Family Studies (CYFS); Information Technology Application Development (ITAD); Integrated Healthcare Management (IHCM); and Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (ROBAI).
