Most patients have their blood drawn during medical examinations or hospital stays.
The Phlebotomist Technician is the person responsible for drawing blood as instructed
by a physician or other health care professional. They perform venipuncture on patients,
transports blood specimens, maintain and clean venipuncture trays, and may perform
simple urinalysis tests, not to include microscopic examinations.
