INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Choose a different kind of IT degree — one that’s hands-on, convenient, & taught by an industry pro.

Program Highlights

Our Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology - Application Development (BAS-ITAD) program is hands-on from the start. Get ready to work on projects covering database models, mobile applications, cloud computing, and machine learning. By the time you graduate, you'll have a professional portfolio for your job applications.

Our flexible format allows you to attend in person or online. Whatever mode you choose, you’ll get the same instruction and assignments. Another bonus: classes meet just twice a week, 6-9 p.m.

Our instructor, Dr. Frank Kadwell, is a data management specialist with over 25 years of experience. He co-founded a consulting firm and has worked with Best Buy, Medtronic, Ameripride, Thrivent, and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.

What about certifications?

Some IT employers give more importance to certifications while others value academic degrees. BAS-ITAD students get both. As you complete the program, you can earn certifications in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and other areas.

Application Process

Eligibility

Many of our students have completed an Associate in Applied Science - Transfer (AAS-T), or equivalent degree, in Computer Science Information or Web Application and Cloud Developer.

If you have an Associate of Technical Arts (ATA), or similar, in a similar field of study to the one listed above, we encourage you to consult with the ITAD Program Manager to discuss whether additional courses are needed before applying.

College credit may be granted for prior learning assessment, such as passing a valid industry-recognized certification.
