Local employers are excited by the mix of skills students will learn in the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Integrated Healthcare Management program, and see great potential for these graduates to excel in the workplace. New Department of Children, Youth, and Families in Washington
Governor Inslee signed HB 1661 on July 6, 2017 creating the Department of Children, Youth, and Families. The DCYF will restructure how the state serves at-risk children and youth with the goal of producing better outcomes in all Washington communities.
The department will be increasing their budget for staffing to reduce caseloads and better serve the community. This directly impacts the graduates of the BAS in Integrated Healthcare Management program by providing more career opportunities.
