Projected Career Growth

Local employers are excited by the mix of skills students will learn in the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Integrated Healthcare Management program, and see great potential for these graduates to excel in the workplace. During the BAS development process, many local employers gave input on what should be in the curriculum, and the program heavily reflects their input.

New Department of Children, Youth, and Families in Washington

Governor Inslee signed HB 1661 on July 6, 2017 creating the Department of Children, Youth, and Families. The DCYF will restructure how the state serves at-risk children and youth with the goal of producing better outcomes in all Washington communities.

The department will be increasing their budget for staffing to reduce caseloads and better serve the community. This directly impacts the graduates of the BAS in Integrated Healthcare Management program by providing more career opportunities. Please visit the website of the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families for more information.
