You are a good candidate for online learning, but may need preparation before taking your first online class. Specific tasks which you should begin focusing on include:
- Dedicate some time to familiarizing yourself with the programs used in eLearning (i.e. Google Apps and Canvas).
- Make sure you have the basic, required online course materials: a reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, text-editing software (Microsoft Word or Google Docs), and a quiet place to focus and work.
- Understand electronic communication (email, chat, online group collaboration, etc).
- Be prepared to make and manage your own work/study schedule for online classes in addition to your personal duties.
