Start or expand your career at Edmonds College

The Visual Arts Department at Edmonds College is a collective of the Art, Photography, and Visual Communications programs. We build curriculum, share resources, and coordinate student activities in a collaborative environment. Our students have numerous extracurricular opportunities outside the classroom through field trips, visiting artists, open labs, and art clubs. We also provide professional training through an annual student art show and portfolio development.

As a visual arts student, you’ll work with instructors who are professional artists and love to create as much as you do. You’ll learn to imagine through exploration, innovate through creative thinking, and inspire through visual communication.

Earn Certificates and Degrees in:

Art Take courses in drawing, painting, design, sculpture, pottery, art appreciation, and art history.

Photography Take courses in a traditional darkroom setting as well as a fully digital lab.

Visual Communications Learn a variety of creative and technical skills that will prepare you for a career in advertising, publishing, or public relations.
