MetamorphosisAbigail Nnaji
Abigail Nnaji is a Nigerian interdisciplinary artist who explores various mediums to find connections and tell stories.
After earning a BA in Fine and Applied Arts from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, majoring in painting, she began exploring three-dimensional forms at a graduate level. Through sculptures, installations, painting, and printmaking as her medium, Abigail delves into themes related to human existence and connections.
Growing Things: An Exhibition of Student ArtCurated by Edmonds College students | May 17-June 14
Every spring quarter, we celebrate our student artists with the Annual Student Art Show at the Edmonds College Art Gallery. This spring, our students are in control of the exhibition. They can personally curate their pieces, choosing what they want to display and how they want to present it. This hands-on approach allows them to actively participate in every step of the exhibition process and express their individuality and creativity in a way that reflects their vision and passion.
Cut One's TeethKodi Sershon | Jan. 2-March 15
Kodi Sershon completed his associate degree in visual communications at Edmonds College in 2014. Since graduating, he has “cut his teeth” working with a wide range of clients, including fraudulent startups and massive chains. He has also explored a variety of subdisciplines, including layout, packaging, product, and apparel design.
عصيان REBEL Nakisa Dehpanah | Oct. 2-Dec. 8
Nakisa Dehpanah is an artist, architectural designer, and dancer. "Rebel" envisions what happens when a person or society outgrows its limits to discover its true self. The installation features her visual art alongside a video of her dance performance inside a moving, nine-piece structure.

The Annual Student Art Show celebrates the creative accomplishments of visual arts students at Edmonds College. It provides a platform for aspiring artists to display their drawings, paintings, designs, and photography.

“Conversations” showcases the work of three Edmonds College instructors. The exhibition brings together the distinct voices of Timothy Cross, Ayad Almissouri, and Michael Wewer. Each artist's work stands on its own while also speaking in conversation with each other.
DOUBLE TAKE noise = grainMinh Carrico | Oct. 1-Dec. 16, 2022
"Double Take" is a solo art exhibition that surveys home life while sheltering in place during the pandemic. This new body of work debuts elements of sound, performance, and time-based media in collaboration with noise = grain's photographic process. This sight-responsive multimedia installation explores the confluence between intentional play and mindful observation.

AxisMonica Lynn James | Feb. 14-March 18, 2022
Whidbey Island-based artist and educator Monica Lynn James combines abstract expressionism with cultural and historic narrative. The exhibition features a series of paintings and mixed media collages full of color and light. Like music, color resonates in pitch and vibration and evolves into a story rich with metaphor and meaning.
Divergent/Interpretations Lorenzo Townsend | Sept. 20-Dec. 10, 2021
This exhibit includes Townsend’s photographic images which have been edited to become digital art. This artwork presents a personal view and artistic representation of everyday objects, and encourages others to re-imagine the world around them and seek wonder in the mundane.
Attitudes of PerspectiveSue Danielson | Nov. 1-Dec. 11, 2020
Attitudes of Perspective is a playful installation comprised of every day and constructed objects, videos, large drawings, and 3-D elements. It embraces the rapidly shifting perspectives we encounter daily, and the sometime resulting absurdities. Of course, the global pandemic has further complicated our lives. Although initially scheduled in the Edmonds College art gallery, the exhibition morphed into a site-specific installation in the dormant sculpture classroom after the gallery was locked down and most classes went online.
Student Art ShowSpring 2020
The college’s spring tradition of holding a student art exhibit will continue this year with a virtual exhibit in our online gallery. This year’s show honors the talent of 15 Visual Arts students and features more than 100 works of art.
