WELCOME TO Our COMMUNITY FARM AND CULTURAL KITCHEN
About Us
Our Community Farm* started in March 2012, as a model for sustainable urban agriculture practices. Since then, over 12,000 volunteer hours have been served, and an estimated 21,000+ pounds of produce have been harvested. The goal of the campus community farm is to bring a diverse array of students, faculty, and staff around sustainable living practices and take advantage of an under-utilized space.
The farm boasts over 20 raised beds, a variety of perennial edible trees and shrubs, a collection of bee-loving flowers, an edible rain garden, and a hoop house. The site is also home to the Cultural Kitchen and Bee Club's Bee Garden. The Campus Green Fund has made many of these projects possible, and continues to fund future development.
*The Campus Community Farm is funded by the Edmonds College Campus Green Fund.
Our Produce
All the food grown on the farm is donated to the Edmonds College Food Pantry, campus organizations, and events. Campus community members are invited to visit the food pantry to sample our produce! Community volunteers are also able to harvest and take produce from the farm during work parties.
Get Involved!
The farm is supported by the volunteer efforts of students, faculty, and staff. Farm work parties are a great way to get involved with urban agriculture, sustainability, and our college community. Through our affiliation with Service Learning, Campus Farm work party volunteer hours can be used to fulfill Service Learning requirements. All skill levels encouraged and welcome!
