- Explain more complex grammatical structures of ASL, such as pronoun/number combinations, contrastive structures, basic classifiers, and past and future tenses.
- Demonstrate receptive and expressive signing skills in using conversational ASL.
- Utilize conceptually accurate signs and idiomatic expressions.
- Demonstrate the ability to initiate, conduct, and terminate short conversations in ASL using appropriate conversational regulator.
- Use videos to critically observe and analyze their own signing skills.

ASL& 123: American Sign Language III
Credits: 5.0Continuation of ASL& 122. Vocabulary expansion, idioms, and increasingly sophisticated grammatical structures. Focus on receptive skills continues with an increased emphasis on expressive skills. Continuing study of Deaf culture. Prerequisite(s): ASL& 122 with a minimum grade of 2.0 or instructor permission.
