Soundsation Jazz Choir

Soundsation, the pride of Edmonds College’s renowned music program, is a musical ensemble dedicated to the advancement of singing and playing America’s only true artform...Jazz! Founded in 1974 by highly respected music educator, Frank DeMiero, Soundsation has enjoyed a rich heritage of establishing, advancing and preserving the integrity of vocal jazz education.

In Soundsation you will:

Study jazz singing and playing, including differing styles and improvisation/interpretation.
Learn vocal technique and ensemble singing with microphones.
Perform and tour as a member of a talented group of vocal stylists at high schools, colleges, universities, and jazz festivals.
Host the annual DeMiero Jazz Fest, where elementary, middle and high school jazz choirs choirs gather to share music and to learn.
Get an opportunity to share the stage with some of the greatest names in jazz.
