Career Opportunities

What do I need to know before applying?

Many of our students have completed an Associate in Applied Science - Transfer (AAS-T), or equivalent degree, in Engineering Technology (Robotics or Mechatronics), Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems.

If you have completed 60 credits or more of an Associate of Technical Arts (ATA), or similar, in a similar field of study to the one listed above, we encourage you to consult with the ROBAI Program Manager to discuss whether additional courses are needed before applying. Students can receive conditional acceptance into the BAS program while completing the required core courses.

The following prerequisite courses with grades of 2.5 or higher are required for our program:

  • Completion of Math& 141 or higher.
  • Completion of ENGL& 101.

Students must also have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and minimum grade point of 2.5 in all prerequisite courses.

The program follows a cohort model that admits 30 students each fall. Each cohort will follow a specific sequence of BAS-ROBAI classes each quarter throughout the program. The program lasts two years (or six quarters).

At this time, cohorts start once a year in the fall quarter. Application periods run from the winter through summer quarters.

Students are encouraged to consult the BAS Program Manager, Omar Aguirre Ayala at omar.aguirre@edmonds.edu for eligibility evaluation and further discuss whether additional courses are needed before applying.
