Parent Education and Family Support Studies Certificate
Description
The Parent Education and Family Support Certificate offers students certification upon completion of some of the core courses in the Family Support Program. This certificate focuses on developing skills needed to provide support, education, and mentoring to parents and families in schools, parent education, or human service settings. The certificate is primarily designed for those who already have an associate's degree or higher, with coursework that included child development. The certificate is for those who seek courses to enhance competency in working with parents and families. This certificate requires successful completion of a minimum of 37 credits as outlined.

Time to Complete
The Parent Education and Family Support Certificate requires the completion of 37 college-level credits. This certificate is designed to be completed fully online and with a Part-Time course load of 8 to 10 credits per quarter and can be completed in roughly four quarters. Full-time students typically take 15 credits per quarter and could potentially complete the certificate in three quarters if scheduling allows; Part-time students, students who need to complete pre-college level courses, prerequisites, or students who take time off may take longer to satisfy all certificate requirements.
