Students are recommended to receive the meningococcal vaccine and a COVID booster. Meningococcal Vaccine Use in College: The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Vaccine Advisory Committee recommend that all students entering college and living in group settings (including dorms, fraternities and sororities), should receive the meningococcal vaccine.

College students, particularly those that live in dorms, have an increased risk of getting the disease. A meningococcal vaccine protects against four of the five most common types of the disease, which can result in serious or life-threatening illness. Vaccine protection lasts three to five years and can prevent 50-70% of cases on college campuses. Those students who will be attending college and residing in group settings should talk with a healthcare professional about obtaining the meningococcal vaccine prior to college entry. Also, it is recommended that all students have had the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) series, a Tetanus booster in the last 10 years, the Hepatitis B series, and the Coronavirus vaccine.

How has living on-campus helped you? It taught me better cooking skills and made me a better time management.

What's your favorite part of Edmonds College housing? My favorite part is that you have the ability to make new friends who live just a floor away from each other.

Favorite Memory of Housing: Pot Luck with friends where we share food and laughs and Also, play pool with friends

Why did you choose Edmonds College housing? Because I realized that I have to be responsible about my age and wanted to be more independent to prepare living by myself in future. I also wanted to do more activities in school such as club, RA, etc.

Before Edmonds College I was... An 11th grader as international student in Canada. 

How has living on-campus helped you?  It changed me into more active and social person from lazy and lonely person who always stays at home. I now have more friends than I lived in home-stay at the beginning of US life.

What's your favorite part of Edmonds College housing? Be able to customize my daily life, and of course, the events with new students every quarter. Even better, I can have few more extra hours of sleep before class starts.

Favorite Memory of Housing: I don’t have too much memories about here, but every big events featured by housing (Outdoor events) office always gives excellent memories to me.   

Best advice for students: Work hard before you play hard.

All students must have a parking permit issued by the Security office that indicates they are an Edmonds College student, IN ADDITION to getting a Housing parking permit.

Have Guests staying overnight? Make sure to plan in advance and ask the Housing Office for a Guest Parking Pass. 

The Housing Office is in the lobby of Rainier Place and is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursdays and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.

How to Add Business Hours on Amazon:

• Go to Your Account.
• Select Your Addresses.
• Choose the address you wish to edit and select Add delivery instructions.
• Ensure the Property type is set to Business.
• Enter the Housing Office business hours.

You may specify separate schedules for weekends, weekdays, or holidays.
Include any necessary access codes or additional delivery instructions.
Click Save Changes.

• Residents should set up an Amazon Hub account to facilitate package deliveries.

• Any Triton Court resident package delivered to the Housing Office in Rainier Place can call the Housing Office number between 9AM-5PM or the Triton Court RA on-call after 5PM.
