Commencement Ornamentation Policy
College departments, programs, or clubs may develop a standard recognition symbol/ornament (e.g., pin, tassel, stole) that graduates may wear on their cap or gown during the commencement ceremony. The recognition symbol represents a department, program, degree, or club affiliation.
Recognition symbols/ornaments must be approved by the dean for student engagement. The deadline for submission is June 1. Students are responsible for paying for the approved recognition symbol/ornament. (NOTE: Money generated from organizational fundraisers may be used to purchase these items.)
