Triton ID Frequently Asked Questions
ctcLink: With the arrival of ctcLink and the ctcLink ID, the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) has done away with using SIDs and PINs to identify and authenticate students and staff alike, effective March 2021.
FERPA Compliance: As a result, the college is required to come up with a replacement way for students to log into Edmonds technology resources using a new type of username that is also FERPA compliant.
Convenience to the Student: Additionally, this requires us to provide ways for students to change a password, reset a forgotten password, or unlock their network account, both with and without Service Desk assistance, so students are prevented from being unable to take classes because they can’t log into anything (e.g. Canvas, Google, etc.)
