The Planning Model
Ambidextrous Approach
There are two sides in the Comprehensive Plan. The left side focuses on incremental improvements that are a part of every day operations. The right side puts strategic attention to innovative leaps that will move the college forward. Together these two plans make up the Comprehensive Plan.

GOALS, STRATEGIES, AND ACTIONS
The first step in outlining our Comprehensive Plan is to identify the high level overarching goals that will guide the college's work. Four operational goals and two innovation goals have been identified for Edmonds College. These are expected to remain the same for many years to come.
Under each goal, strategies are identified that would help achieve each goal, and a lag metric is set to define success. For each strategy, there are many operational actions that it takes to impact metrics identified with the strategy.
