The graduation process and commencement ceremony can be an exciting adventure. Take care to have all your paperwork completed and submitted to the correct offices by the posted deadlines.

Submit a Student Status Form if you plan to graduate during the current quarter and inform OIP of your post-graduation plans.

Make sure you meet college graduation requirements

You must meet all college graduation requirements and apply for graduation by the deadlines. The college issues degrees and certificates each quarter, but the commencement (graduation) ceremony is held only once a year at the end of spring quarter.

What is the difference between graduation and commencement?

Graduation is the process you go through to have your degree posted to your transcript. Commencement is a ceremony where we honor your academic accomplishments.

How to prepare for commencement

Commencement is a ceremony held annually in June for students completing requirements for a degree or certificate. Students planning to attend the ceremony should follow the instructions on our commencement page.
