Seeing an Advisor
If you are new to the college, you can see an advisor in a New Student Advising (NSA) session.
- During New Student Advising, an advisor will help you understand your ACCUPLACER assessment results and/or English and math courses placements, connect your strengths and interests with programs of study at Edmonds College, choose first quarter classes, and teach you how to register online.
- Sign up for an NSA either through the Testing Center or the Advising Resource Center.
*Students on a non-immigrant visa (F-1) who have applied through Office of International Programs will participate in a separate orientation and advising schedule. Please visit edmonds.edu/international for more information or contact oip_desk@edmonds.edu*Students on a non-immigrant visa (F-1) who have applied through Office of International Programs will participate in a separate orientation and advising schedule. If you want to learn more about a program at Edmonds College, attend a program specific Advising Session.
- These sessions are open to prospective, new, and continuing students.
- During a session, an advisor will lead discussion about your program, answer group questions, and provide time for individual advising for each student in attendance. You will be able to meet fellow students in your program, receive answers to your academic advising questions, and plan your next steps with the help of an advisor.
- Check out our schedule of the upcoming advising sessions.
If you are a continuing student, make an appointment with one of your faculty advisors:
- A Faculty Advisor brings valuable expertise related to programs of study, courses, university programs,
and the job market. They also approve course substitutions and degree/certificate
modifications.
- Faculty Advisors typically offer appointments between Week 3 and 10 of a quarter.
- Make an appointment by phone at 425.640.1458, or
- In person at the Advising Resource Center, on the first floor of Lynnwood Hall. You may also contact the faculty member directly.
Any student with questions for an advisor can:
- Send an email to advising@edmonds.edu.
- Students with quick questions and immediate needs, see an advisor during the weekly posted lobby drop-in times.
All students are invited to use the Advising Resource Center (ARC) on the first floor of Lynnwood Hall.
- Use our computers to register online or research career and educational programs.
- Find many resources available in the ARC, along with a great support from the Advising Resource Center Team!
