- Complete the online orientation and explore the many different Areas of Study offered at Edmonds College. Consult our Career Coach tool to determine which career path is right for you!
- Your basic math and English skills must be assessed. You must either submit transcripts or take a placement test(s). Explore placement and testing options at our Testing Center.
- After you have completed your placement test(s) or submitted your transcripts, your next step is to meet with an academic advisor for New Student Advising (NSA). The advisor will help you understand your placement, choose first-quarter classes, and learn how to register. Check out our class schedule in advance to find available classes.
- Lastly, pay tuition, set up a payment plan online or in-person at the Cashier's Office, or see if you qualify for reduced tuition. Make sure to arrange payment by the deadline.

You can download your unofficial transcripts by logging in to CTCLink, or ordering official transcripts online, in person, or by mail.
Orders for pick-up at the Edmonds College Enrollment Services front counter require a picture ID. Relatives, friends, or agents picking up transcripts for a student must show proof of identification and a written letter of permission authorizing the transcript pick-up. For online orders, written permission authorizing pick-up of a transcript by a relative, friend, or agent may be given by completing the "Special Instructions" field of the Online Transcript Order website. Please specify the designated person’s name and relationship to you.

Depending on the degree or program you study at Edmonds College, your previous credits may apply. Check out the Transcript Evaluation page for more information, and keep in mind that placement is different than evaluation. You can pay for college in many ways, including direct loans, scholarships, grants, veterans support services, and work-study programs.

Grants
- Workforce Grants via StartNextQuarter:
- Worker Retraining Grants are awarded to Washington residents who are receiving unemployment benefits and who have exhausted benefits within the last two years. Dislocated workers may also be eligible. It requires a separate application and is limited to technical programs.
- WorkFirst Grants provide funds for tuition and books to low-income students and approved DSHS clients. Short-term training programs only. It requires a separate application process.
- Opportunity Grants are awarded to low-income students pursuing selected vocational programs or who have been enrolled in ABE, GED, or ESL/ELA classes. It requires a separate application process.
- Basic Food Employment Training (BFET) is a program that provides financial assistance along with other support services. It requires a separate application process.
- Washington College Grant
- Federal Pell Grants
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
- Tuition Waivers and the Edmonds College Grant
Additionally, there are programs on campus that can provide emergency funding or referrals to outside agencies.
No, you do not need to reapply. Just find the program of study you are interested in, and register online. If you need assistance, make an appointment with an academic advisor, and they will help you create an academic plan to keep you on track!
